Overview

Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT) was established in 2009 under a Gujarat state act in Changa, near Anand, building on earlier institutions run by the Charotar Vidya Mandal trust. The university has grown into a multi-disciplinary institution offering engineering, pharmacy, medicine, management, computer applications and paramedical programmes from its Changa campus.

The university is UGC-recognised and its engineering programmes are AICTE-approved, offering B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Civil and Chemical Engineering. CHARUSAT has invested in research infrastructure and interdisciplinary centres since attaining university status, and several of its engineering programmes hold NBA accreditation.

Admission to B.Tech programmes is through JEE Main scores or Gujarat’s common admission process (ACPC), followed by the university’s own counselling. The campus offers hostel accommodation, modern laboratories and a placement cell that has built recruiter relationships across IT services, pharmaceutical and core engineering sectors given the university’s multi-disciplinary base.
