Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology (KNIT), Sultanpur was established in 1965 as a Uttar Pradesh state government engineering college, named after Kamla Nehru. Located in Sultanpur, the institute is among the older technical institutions in the state and has recently been upgraded toward university status as part of broader reforms to state-run engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh.

The institute is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J.
