Overview

Mar Athanasius College of Engineering (MACE), Kothamangalam was established in 1957 by the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church and is one of the oldest private engineering colleges in Kerala, predating the state’s formation-era wave of technical institutions. Located in Kothamangalam in Ernakulam district, the college has built a long-standing academic reputation within Kerala’s engineering education landscape.

The college is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and approved by AICTE, offering B.Tech programmes across Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Chemical Engineering. Several programmes hold NBA accreditation, and MACE is widely regarded as one of the stronger private engineering colleges in Kerala, alongside a small number of similarly long-established church-run institutions in the state.

Admission to B.Tech programmes is through the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination (KEAM) followed by state counselling, with a management quota also available.
