Overview

Roorkee Institute of Technology (RIT) was established in 2009 as a private engineering college in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, drawing on the town’s long-standing reputation as a centre for technical education anchored by the presence of IIT Roorkee nearby. RIT was set up to expand access to affordable private engineering education for students in the region.

The institute is affiliated with Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University and approved by AICTE, offering B.Tech programmes in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering, along with MBA and MCA programmes. RIT has built a modern campus with computer labs and workshops geared toward its engineering intake, and several of its programmes hold NBA accreditation.

Admission to B.Tech programmes is through JEE Main scores followed by Uttarakhand state counselling, with a share of seats filled through the management quota.
