Overview

Indian Institute of Information Technology Raichur (IIIT Raichur) was set up in 2019 under the public-private partnership model, with the central government, the Karnataka government and industry partners as stakeholders. It is mentored by IIT Hyderabad, and its first batches were taught on the IIT Hyderabad campus before the institute began moving to Raichur in north-eastern Karnataka.

IIIT Raichur is an Institute of National Importance under the IIIT (PPP) Act. B.Tech programmes are in computer science and in mathematics and computing. Hostel arrangements are made for undergraduate students.

Eligibility

Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics (plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or a technical vocational subject) meeting the JoSAA 75% (65% for SC/ST/PwD) or top-20-percentile criterion, and a valid JEE Main rank.

Admission process

B.Tech seats are allotted through JoSAA counselling (and CSAB special rounds for vacant seats) on the all-India JEE Main rank; IIITs have no home-state quota.
