Overview

Indian Institute of Information Technology Sonepat (IIIT Sonepat) was set up in 2014 under the public-private partnership model, with the central government, the Haryana government and industry partners as stakeholders. It was mentored by NIT Kurukshetra, and its campus is at Kilohrad in Sonepat district, within the Delhi NCR belt north of Delhi.

IIIT Sonepat is an Institute of National Importance under the IIIT (PPP) Act. B.Tech programmes are in computer science, information technology, and CSE with specialisations such as AI and data science. Its closeness to Delhi and Gurugram helps with internships. Hostel arrangements are made for undergraduate students.

B.Tech seats are filled on JEE Main ranks through JoSAA counselling, with no home-state quota. Sign up free to see fees by quota, closing ranks and placement data.

Eligibility

Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics (plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or a technical vocational subject) meeting the JoSAA 75% (65% for SC/ST/PwD) or top-20-percentile criterion, and a valid JEE Main rank.

Admission process

B.Tech seats are allotted through JoSAA counselling (and CSAB special rounds for vacant seats) on the all-India JEE Main rank; IIITs have no home-state quota.
