Overview

Indian Institute of Information Technology Kota (IIIT Kota) was established in 2013 under the public-private partnership model, with the central government, the Rajasthan government and industry partners as stakeholders. It was mentored by MNIT Jaipur and ran from the MNIT campus in its early years before moving to its own campus in Kota, the city best known for its JEE coaching industry.

IIIT Kota is an Institute of National Importance under the IIIT (PPP) Act. B.Tech programmes are in computer science, artificial intelligence and data engineering, and electronics and communication engineering. Hostels are provided for undergraduate students.

Eligibility

Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics (plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or a technical vocational subject) meeting the JoSAA 75% (65% for SC/ST/PwD) or top-20-percentile criterion, and a valid JEE Main rank.

Admission process

B.Tech seats are allotted through JoSAA counselling (and CSAB special rounds for vacant seats) on the all-India JEE Main rank; IIITs have no home-state quota.
