Overview
Indian Institute of Information Technology Lucknow (IIIT Lucknow) was established in 2015 under the public-private partnership (PPP) model, with the central government, the Uttar Pradesh government and industry partners as stakeholders. Its campus is at Chak Ganjaria in Lucknow, near the city’s newer IT and education hub.
IIIT Lucknow is an Institute of National Importance under the IIIT (PPP) Act. Despite being young, it has built a strong placement record in software, and its B.Tech programmes are in computer science, information technology, and CSE with specialisations in areas such as artificial intelligence. Hostels are provided for undergraduate students.

Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics (plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or a technical vocational subject) meeting the JoSAA 75% (65% for SC/ST/PwD) or top-20-percentile criterion, and a valid JEE Main rank.

B.Tech seats are allotted through JoSAA counselling (and CSAB special rounds for vacant seats) on the all-India JEE Main rank; IIITs have no home-state quota.
