Overview

MLR Institute of Technology (MLRIT) started in 2005 and is located at Dundigal in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, on the northern outskirts of Hyderabad. Dundigal is one of the city’s busiest engineering-college clusters, and the campus on the Dundigal Police Station road is reached by road from Bachupally, Kukatpally and Gandimaisamma, with many students using college buses from across the northern and western suburbs.

MLRIT is a private college affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) that was granted autonomous status by the UGC in 2015. In NIRF 2025 it appears in the Engineering 201–300 band. B.Tech branches include Aeronautical Engineering, CSE, CSE (AI & ML), CSE (Data Science), CSE (Cyber Security), Computer Science and Information Technology, IT, ECE, EEE and Mechanical Engineering. M.Tech and MBA programmes are also offered, and there are separate on-campus hostels for boys and girls.

About 70% of B.Tech seats are filled through TG EAPCET in TG EAPCET convenor counselling, and about 30% are management (Category-B) seats; diploma holders can join the second year through TG ECET. Aeronautical Engineering is offered by relatively few Hyderabad colleges, so include it in your web options early if it interests you.
