Overview

Bangalore Technological Institute (BTI) was established in 2010 and is located at Kodathi, just off Sarjapur Road near the Wipro corporate office in south-east Bangalore. The locality sits between the Outer Ring Road technology corridor and the fast-growing Sarjapur residential belt, so a large number of IT campuses and apartment clusters are close by. The college describes a green campus with modern laboratories, a central library and sports facilities.

BTI is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, approved by AICTE and accredited by NAAC. Its B.E. branches are Computer Science & Engineering, CSE (Data Science), Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Computer Engineering, Information Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Separate hostels for boys and girls are available, and the campus, including the hostels, is Wi-Fi enabled.

Admission is through KCET and COMEDK UGET, plus management quota. Seat numbers vary widely by branch, with the computing branches taking most of the intake while Civil and Mechanical have small batches, so check the branch-wise seat matrix before you fill counselling options. Eligibility

Passed 2nd PUC / Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Electronics, with at least 45% in these subjects (40% for eligible reserved categories), and a valid KCET or COMEDK UGET rank as applicable.

Admission process

Government-quota seats are allotted through KCET counselling (KEA) and COMEDK-quota seats through COMEDK UGET counselling. Management-quota seats are handled directly by the college.
