Overview

Gopalan College of Engineering and Management (GCEM) was established in 2010 and is run under the Gopalan Group. The campus is in Basavanagar, Hoodi, just behind SAP Labs on the Whitefield side of east Bangalore. This puts it inside one of the city’s largest IT corridors, with tech parks, residential layouts and the Whitefield metro line close by, which is handy for day scholars living in Whitefield, Mahadevapura, K.R. Puram and Marathahalli.

GCEM is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, approved by AICTE and accredited by NAAC with a B+ grade. It offers B.E. in Computer Science, CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning), CSE (Data Science), Information Science, Electronics & Communication and Aeronautical Engineering. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls.

Admission is through KCET for government-quota seats and COMEDK UGET for COMEDK seats, plus management quota. Eligibility

Passed 2nd PUC / Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Electronics, with at least 45% in these subjects (40% for eligible reserved categories), and a valid KCET or COMEDK UGET rank as applicable.

Admission process

Government-quota seats through KCET counselling (KEA) and COMEDK-quota seats through COMEDK counselling. Management-quota seats are handled by the college.
