<p>Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) was established in 1989 at Nashik as Maharashtra’s state open university, set up to provide flexible and affordable higher education to working professionals and students unable to attend regular colleges.</p><p>YCMOU is a State Open University established by an act of the Maharashtra legislature and recognized by the UGC’s Distance Education Bureau (UGC-DEB).
