Overview
The Central Academy for State Forest Service (CASFOS), Coimbatore was established to provide induction and in-service training to State Forest Service officers of Range Forest Officer and equivalent rank across India, functioning under the Directorate of Forest Education.
CASFOS functions under the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and conducts the two-year State Forest Service induction training course along with in-service refresher courses for practicing forest officers.
