Overview

The College of Forestry at G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT), Pantnagar was established as part of India’s first agricultural university and is among the earliest dedicated forestry colleges in the country, serving the Terai and sub-Himalayan forest belt of Uttarakhand.

The college is a constituent of GBPUAT, a state agricultural university, and its B.Sc Forestry programme is recognized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) framework and the University Grants Commission (UGC). It runs undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across forestry, wood science and natural resource management.
