Overview
The College of Military Engineering (CME), Pune was established in 1943 and is the premier training institution for the Indian Army’s Corps of Engineers, providing combat engineering, construction, mine warfare and specialist technical training to officers and soldiers of the Sappers.
CME functions under the Ministry of Defence’s Indian Army training command, and several of its long-duration technical courses are affiliated to civilian universities for degree/diploma equivalence, alongside specialized courses in bridging, demolitions and disaster response.
