Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala

Overview

The Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala was commissioned in 2009 on the Malabar coast of Kerala and is Asia’s largest naval academy, serving as the sole institution for the initial training of officer cadets across all entry schemes of the Indian Navy.

INA functions under the Ministry of Defence’s Indian Navy training command, and its B.Tech programme for cadets is affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) or run under the erstwhile Cochin University framework depending on entry scheme; academics are integrated with naval, physical and leadership training.
