Overview
Established in 1987, the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) in Bangalore was India’s first national law university and remains widely regarded as the country’s premier institution for legal education. It offers the five-year BA LLB (Hons.) integrated programme along with LLM and PhD research programmes.
NLSIU is a state university established by an act of the Karnataka legislature and is regulated by the Bar Council of India (BCI), which approves its law degrees for enrolment as an advocate.
